 War or world war being the foremost thing on everyone's mind today I believe War propaganda is an action which has very short term benefits, true it serves the purpose of uniting the people against a common enemy it also perpetuates stereotypes, leads to demonisation of the opponent which can have long term consequences in the future leading to further conflicts and opposition to peace and reconciliation process. That said the short term benefits of uniting , increasing people's morale and raising funds for war are also essential during a war. Hence it is a tightrope walk between demonisation of the enemy and impostion of nationalism with the aim of union. 

 When should history end? The End of any thing an idea thought or journey is final. The ultimate objective is achieved or it is not achieved and rendered impossible to achieve. So if we are to contemplate the end of history we must decide the objective of history itself. History is to help us learn from the past , to help us develop our own identity. So if there comes a moment when world history ends it will be when everyone is secure in their own identity and require nothing to change, when the human race has learnt all that there is to learn. Since currently I cannot imagine a moment like that arriving anytime soon I believe the end of history is a long way off. As for scholastic interpretation, the end of history should remain 30-40 years in the past from the current day so as to ensure objectivity and distance when dealing with it.
